Interview with STEP VA

STEP VA, Inc., a local nonprofit that empowers people with special needs through artistic expression, will host a performance of Disney’s “The Lion King, Kids!” this weekend.

Stephanie spoke with Jan Monroe, STEP VA President and Warrick Couture, a member of the ensemble about the upcoming performance.

Disney’s “The Lion King, Kids!” will be the first licensed work for STEPVA and the first large-scale production for about half the 21 cast members, all of whom have disabilities.
