Phil Collins’ “In the Air Tonight” is having a comeback. First, Chris Stapleton recorded a new version with Snoop Dogg for Money Night Football and now Kane Brown has released a new song inspired by the 80s hit.
Brown told Taste of Country that the idea first came to him at Stagecoach. He originally wanted Collins to perform with him but when that didn’t happen, he was able to get the go-ahead to sample “In The Air Tonight.
“We were sampling that big drum fill, and the title is ‘I Can Feel It,’ he told TOC, “so it’s, I can feel it in the air tonight.”
