Cathy Lynn’s love of vinyl records began when she was a child in Montana. A neighbor, who was also a local radio DJ, was moving and threw away all of his vinyl. Cathy Lynn literally dumpster dived her way into the business. From that day on, she knew music was her future.
In 2001, she started 1st Choice Entertainment Company. At that time, she began collaborating with Thunder 104.5 as a means to spread the word about various fundraising events she supported. From that collaboration, a partnership flourish and she eventually became part of the on-air staff. In Cathy Lynn’s words, “It’s not just a station, it’s a family… a close, crazy, supportive family. And the best part is what you hear is what you get. The craziness, yes, but more importantly the realness. We really are as crazy as we sound, and we really do care.”
